Reducing our impact on the planet

Reducing our impact on the planet

In our last article, we spoke about the impact we want to have on our community. Now it is time to talk about the impact we don’t want to have on our planet.

Since the early days of TOKAY, limiting and reducing our environmental impact has been a constant focus. Here is what we’re at on every aspect of the company: production, logistics, and operations.

Longer lasting cleats

Improving the durability of our products has been our main focus since the release of the TOKAY Flight in 2019. Ultimate is a demanding sport, and we continuously use customer feedback to improve our design and materials.

In addition to improving the overall quality of TOKAY Flights, improving durability distributes the environmental impact of production and end-of-life over a longer period of time.

Thinking the entire lifecycle

Most of the environmental impact of a pair of cleats comes from production, making materials selection critical in this process.

Packaging

Plastic bags are used for just a few minutes but take 500 years to break down.

Did you know you don’t have to throw your box away? Instead, you can reuse it as a disc holder!

Optimizing Logistics

Our supply chain is straightforward: cleats ship from the factory to the warehouse and are then sent to players individually. Our warehouses in France and the USA allow for closer, more efficient shipping to our customer base.
